WOOF! The Dog Show

Few subjects have captured the hearts of artists and audiences as enduringly as the faithful canine companion. From Pablo Picasso’s paintings of his beloved dachshund Lump, to David Hockneys’ warm and intimate ‘Dog Days’ series, dogs have been a cherished source of subject material for artists over the centuries. We are delighted to continue this tradition with an incredible showcase of contemporary Scottish artists, each with their unique take on this timeless theme, all celebrating the joy, loyalty and character of our four-legged friends!
We have a fantastic line up of artists participating in this exhibition: Joe Hargan, Gordon Mitchell, Louis Sinclair McNally, Stephen Mangan, Gemma Rees, Hilke Macintyre, Gordon Wilson, Catherine Rayner, Helen Fay, Morag Muir, Denise Findlay, Lesley McLaren, Sally Muir, Richard Twose, Fiona macRae, Brian Henderson, Stuart Buchanan, Iain Holman, Georgina McMaster, David Smith, Joyce Gunn Cairns and James Tweedie.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating the opening of this exhibition on Saturday the 24th of May, from 10am, with drinks served from 2-4pm. We will send out a preview of the exhibition via our mailing list.
