SCOTT NAISMITH : HOPE

A 3D Tour our twelfth Scott Naismith Solo Exhibition, entitled Hope – a particularly personal one for Scott. In February this year his Mother passed away and through the grieving process Scott began to reflect on her influence, her positive spirit and energy, and the gift of hope that she gave him through her life. Scott’s paintings have always explored the concept of hope, and in particular hope over adversity. His paintings, with their strong contrasts – in palette choices and mark making – manifest his fundamental sense of hope and optimism, of light emerging through darkness.

WOOF! The Dog Show

A celebration of dogs in art and in life, a theme that has of course been visited by many an artist in the past – Picasso, Hockney, Warhol, Freud, Munch, O’Keefe, Kahlo… the list could go on! We are delighted to have so many artists taking part – both familiar and new to the gallery. Enjoy a 3D Tour of the exhibition!

Kate Bentley RSW : Two Worlds

Kate’s explorative nature and unique imagination has created a truly striking collection of paintings which explore two main subjects – Edinburgh as a city and Kate’s love of gardens – her own, those of friends and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. The fusion of Kate’s intensely layered and experimental approach and her ability to work from memory have given us a breathtaking body of paintings, all bearing Kate’s distinctive use of texture, pattern and detail. We hope you will enjoy the 3D Tour of this exhibition.

STEPHEN MANGAN : LIFE TONES

Stephen creates another world through his paintings, one which is at once familiar and otherworldly. Through his carefully planned out compositions and his slow, meticulous approach to painting, he creates a world with arresting presence and stillness. His 2025 Solo Exhibition – Life Tones – is his first exhibition following a move to the East Lothian Countryside. In addition to Stephen’s theatre, cafe and beach scenes we see also paintings that reflect a quieter pace of life and an awareness of the seasons and the changing light. Enjoy the tour!

BETH ROBERTSON FIDDES : UISGE

Uisge – Water in Gaelic. No doubt a familiar word for the whisky connaisseurs! Here we have the source: crashing tides, flowing rivers, rock pools of immeasurable depth and kaleidoscopic reflections – the waters of life. This new exhibition explores the coastal and inland waters of the West Highlands where Beth lives and works. It emerges as much out of her adult experience of living and working in the Highlands, as it does her childhood spent on Tiree, playing outside in the cold rain, sleet and snow, always finding warmth in the rockpools. A childhood of half understood words, stories and songs about lost cities under the sea, kelpies and child stealing fairies. Ominous thoughts on even the sunniest of days.
